Position Summary

We are seeking candidates who can assist the Advanced Sensor Evaluation Facility in developing solutions for interfacing with sensors and laboratory equipment. Duties will include assisting in robotics programming and operation, operation of temperature chamber equipment, and calibrating machine vision applications using fiducial targets for pose estimation. Candidate must possess programming and mechanical skills and be willing to tackle tough problems with minimal guidance.

The selected candidate will fill an immediate opening supporting our government customer on-site at Fort Belvoir, VA for two months during the summer of 2024.

This is an exciting opportunity for a successful applicant to get relevant work experience for our customers at the Army’s DEVCOM C5ISR Research Technology Integration Directorate. This role requires creativity, innovation, and application of engineering approaches to integrate and test software and hardware systems. In support of Trideum customers and initiatives, you will work with experienced engineers and stakeholders to support technology evaluations, engineering test beds, and demonstration events.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in robotics programming and operation, operation of temperature chamber equipment, and calibrating machine vision applications using fiducial targets for pose estimation

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or applicable engineering or science field
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills, including the ability to readily decompose complex problems into smaller, manageable tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• US citizenship
• Ability to get a Secret security clearance

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with HW/SW integration in a distributed test environment including the development of software test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail necessary to write and follow procedures, document configuration requirements and changes, and verify system, software, and hardware settings continuously.
• Experience with US Army simulation and mission command systems both hardware and/or software
• Experience testing in both Linux and Windows operating environments
