Position Summary

Trideum Corporation has an opening for a Program Control Intern. Program Control at Trideum supports the financial management of our direct contracts which requires an understanding of the full contract lifecycle. The Program Control Intern will support the day-to-day contract financial requirements and will interact and collaborate with the Program Managers as well as various departments such as Accounting, Contracts, Payroll, Pricing and Senior Leadership during the execution of a program to provide reporting, analysis, risk resolution and support on all financial aspects of a contract. This role will be performed initially in a training capacity alongside the other members of the Program Control team. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as the intern progresses.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare estimates at completion (EAC) for assigned projects
• Review monthly project costs and revenue, monitor actual cost performance against plans/budgets, prepare variance analysis, report and presentation to project managers
• Monitor contract funding, track commitments, develop funding requirements projections and coordinate with contracts for required notifications on limitations and requests for additional funding as needed.
• Establish project workforces in Costpoint and ensure charge codes are disseminated
• Partner with finance, operations, and other business groups to improve program/project/task reporting.
• Assist project managers with monthly labor & non-labor forecasts and funding risks.
• Assist contract representative to ensure proper organization and understanding for the program/project/task financial contractual requirements.
• Advise the project manager on budgets, spending and forecasting
• Internal forecasting analysis
• Monthly preparation or review of the labor and non-labor invoice and related supporting documentation.
• Assist with internal monthly management reporting
• Support employees with questions concerning labor classification, charge codes, and timesheet changes/maintenance
• Assist with various ad-hoc requests in support of projects

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and levels of an organization
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with MS Excel
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to successfully complete an extensive background investigation
