Position Summary

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about Command-and-Control Information Systems (C2IS) and a commitment to training and instruction, specifically in delivering initial and sustainment operator training on Digital/C2 systems.

The selected candidate will work at the Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) Mission Training Complex (MTC) and its associated facilities and/or training areas. The person in this role will be responsible to develop training materials; provide instruction and training on C2IS systems such as Joint Battle Command-Platform (JBC-P), Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE), Distributed Common Ground System – Army (DCGS-A), Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), Tactical Airspace Integration System (TAIS), and other current or future C2IS systems as identified by the Government; evaluate student performance; and provide subject matter expertise in C2IS operations and systems.

This is an exciting opportunity for a successful applicant to share their C2IS and Training and Instruction knowledge and train Soldiers in accordance with Army instruction and education methods. The role requires a proactive, responsive, and disciplined individual to accomplish training unit objectives, and Government and staff requirements. In this role, the candidate must be knowledgeable on various US Army C2IS and Training and Education Development tools/methods.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

What You’ll Do

• Effectively deliver instruction and training using C2IS in accordance with Army instruction and education methods
• Contribute to the effective use of graphics, windowing, animation, feedback, and branch planning when designing and coordinating instruction
• Develop training materials
• Evaluate students
• Train Soldiers, leaders, and staff in warrior tasks, battle drills, various C2IS (e.g. AFATDS, TAIS, DCGS-A, etc.), through individual and collective training, the warfighting functions and operations and processes
• Assist in planning and preparation of mission command training and exercises in support of training readiness of Soldiers and units.
• Operating supported unit C2IS and conducting over the shoulder training for unit C2IS operators; provide specific expertise in C2IS as requested
• Able to cross-train and become proficient in other Army C2IS and simulations in support of individual through collective training
• Supports training event EXCON/HICON/response cell operations, and AARs
• Conducts leader/staff individual and collective command post, exercise, and institutional training IAW current doctrine and DATE / Operational Environment
• Minimum travel required
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 2+ years military teaching experience or have completed a Contractor developed and Government approved course of study/training leading to a mastery of the use and application of C2IS and software systems such as: JBC-P, CPCE, DCGS-A, AFATDS, Joint Automated Deep Operations Control System [JADOCS], Air and Missile Defense Workstation [AMDWS], TAIS, Common Data Link Interface Module [CDLIM], or other current or future C2IS systems as identified by the Government to be taught by a subject matter expert who has operated the system under instruction.
• Demonstrated 2+ years' experience in the use and application of the C2IS system or systems to be instructed.
• US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Desired Qualifications

• Completed US Army Senior Leader Course or higher
• Information assurance DoD IAT baseline certification Level II (equivalent to Sec+, GICSP, GSEC, etc.)
