Position Summary

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about delivering reliable IT support, leading and guiding personnel, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure mission accomplishment.

The selected candidate serves as the senior systems administrator and site lead for the ArmyU G6 Desktop IT Support contract located on Fort Leavenworth, KS. The person in this role will be the primary point of contact with Government leadership and is responsible for contract execution, workforce supervision, and ensuring compliance with all service standards, PWS requirements, and all policies, procedures and applicable regulations. The right candidate will provide technical expertise while leading a team of systems administrators supporting over 2,500 end-user systems, multiple networks, classrooms, and conference rooms within the ArmyU footprint on Fort Leavenworth.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as the primary contract representative, with full authority to manage daily operations and personnel.
  • Supervise and coordinate team performance to ensure timely response and remediation of tickets, classroom/conference room support, patching, and other IT services as required.
  • Provide senior-level systems administration and technical support for desktop, network, and classroom IT systems.
  • Maintain IT asset management records, including hardware and software inventory.
  • Ensure contractor performance meets all contract standards.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to improve support processes and IT service delivery.
  • Oversee lifecycle replacement, patch management, and system remediation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Information Assurance (IA), Cybersecurity, and DoD/Army IT standards.
  • Be available between 0630–1730, Monday–Friday (except Federal holidays or Government closures).
  • Coordinate with the Government for special events, migrations, or surge support requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver required reports, metrics, and quality assurance documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with all IA/IT certification and security requirements and ensure personnel on the effort maintain compliance.

  • Minimal to no travel required

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. Degree may be waived based upon equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of IT systems administration experience with at least 2 years demonstrated experience in a supervisory/lead role.
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT II certification (CompTIA Security+ CE minimum).
  • Must meet the requirements of AR 25-2 for IT Level II functions, which include a Tiered 3 background check
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and enterprise desktop support.
  • Demonstrated experience managing helpdesk/ticketing systems and IT staff.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • 8+ years of IT systems administration experience with at least 5 years demonstrated experience in a supervisory/lead role.
  • CISSP certification
  • Secret Security Clearance
