Trideum Corporation has an opening for a Software Engineer (Junior). This is a full-time, on-site position in Fort Belvoir in the Northern Virginia /DC area.

What You’ll Do

Software Test Engineer will provide development and integration of software applications or application components to support Trideum customers and initiatives to support technology evaluations, engineering test bed, and demonstration events. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, plan and analyze, design products, and program computer software.
  • Utilize knowledge in the field of computer science or software engineering along with knowledge of software development and methodologies.
  • Perform software and system testing procedures, bug verification, release testing, and beta support.
  • Perform product component design and programming activities involving multiple modules or subsystems.
  • Participate in design meetings and consult with other staff to understand the interface between hardware and software, and the operational and performance requirements of the overall system.
  • Perform complex release testing and beta support for assigned projects and resolve problems found in the software.
  • Prepare documentation required for the product.
  • Analyze and research software requirements to determine the feasibility of design and marketing requirements within time and cost constraints.
  • May consult with customers concerning the application and maintenance of software.
  • May coordinate installation of a software system.
  • May serve as a project architect.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or applicable engineering or science field
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills and demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering practices
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills, including the ability to readily decompose complex problems into smaller, manageable tasks
  • Experience with workflow applications such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously as well as with large and small teams of programmers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with simulation, gaming, or interactive products/programs
  • Experience developing in both Linux and Windows operating environments
  • Experience with C/C++
  • Experience with Unity/Unreal or similar environments
  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance
