Position Summary

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about helping the Department of Defense maintain its technological superiority by exploiting both existing and emerging technologies to address known capability gaps, opportunities, and threats.

The selected candidate will work on-site in the Oahu, HI area primarily in government offices. The person in this role will be responsible for assisting OSD R&E with stakeholder engagement, research, assessment, and technical support in transitioning key technologies to operational users.

This is an exciting opportunity for a successful applicant to perform at the cutting edge of defense technology concepts, testing, and fielding. This role will require a combination of skills and knowledge in systems engineering, data science, and intelligence activities.

These positions are contingent upon contract award, with the earliest anticipated start date being September 30, 2024.

What You’ll Do

• Technology transition and working group participation
• Identification and execution of advanced modeling & simulation capabilities to support the transition of advanced warfighting architectures for operational use and the development of capabilities needed to realize those designs
• Development of strategic and technical plans
• Research to support procurement activities, schedules, and technology/system transfer
• Support to assessments, demonstrations, and field trials
• Conduct quantitative analyses of system/mission requirements with respect to the insertion of advanced technologies
• Assembly of senior advisory panels to provide studies and assessments on the systems and technologies
• Definition of test objectives and procedures
• Systems architecture development
• Travel may be required to accomplish tasks, including travel within the CONUS and OCONUS, and within the NCR to attend meetings, conferences, and training.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technological discipline
• A minimum of 7 years of experience leading systems engineering, analysis, development, integration, and test activities required to deliver complex next-generation software-based multi-INT, Activity Based Intelligence, automated collection orchestration, advanced sensemaking capabilities, object-based orchestration, production, and custody.
• Knowledge of missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operations, which govern, interface with and/or influence the systems acquisition process and integrated life cycle management in support of the mission.
• Demonstrated familiarity with data science, data engineering, and artificial intelligence concepts and algorithms
• Demonstrated use of programming languages and software to develop data pipelines and data products.
• Demonstrated writing clear and maintainable code to clean, connect, query, and investigate large structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data sets.
• US Citizen
• TS/SCI with Counterintelligence-Scope Polygraph - Required
