Position Summary

We are seeking an innovative candidate to fill a pivotal role in our Augusta, GA office, focusing on the development of next-generation automated toolsets. This position is aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our Government customer’s operations. The successful applicant will be tasked with pioneering cybersecurity analysis and evaluation tools for evaluators in Operational Test Environments, blending the disciplines of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Software Engineering to align with broader program and corporate goals.

The role involves developing and integrating various software components including user interfaces, natural language processing applications, large language models, file indexers, and machine learning algorithms designed to cluster, label, and understand new data. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing solutions, defining product roadmaps, and applying new technologies to meet emerging customer needs, ensuring innovative and effective product development.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with the flexibility to work both in-office and remotely from our Augusta, GA location. Ideal candidates will have a robust desire to learn, grow, and contribute to the advancement of technology in cybersecurity. Passion for tackling complex challenges and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in software and AI application development are crucial for this role.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop Code: Write code tailored to meet specific customer needs.
  • Architectural Innovation: Build novel system architectures that utilize Large Language Models (LLMs) and other forms of generative AI to enhance functionality and efficiency.
  • Machine Learning Systems: Design, prototype, implement, evaluate, optimize, and monitor unsupervised machine learning algorithms and related software systems. Focus on clustering, labeling, and summarizing content within large data sets.
  • Software Best Practices: Maintain and promote best practices in software development, including aspects of the deployment process, documentation standards, and coding protocols.
  • Workflow Development: Design and construct workflows and complete pipelines for data preparation, model training, deployment, and monitoring, prioritizing deployable and efficient applications.
  • Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Actively participate in technical and product discussions, sharing knowledge and ideas with colleagues across various departments within the company.
  • Travel Requirements: Engage in minimum travel for purposes like onboarding, corporate training, and other essential corporate activities.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Must be a senior student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrable skills in coding, data management, workflows, and version control. Should possess a strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and AI/ML concepts.
  • Programming Skills: Advanced experience with Python, use of containers, version control systems, and familiarity with machine learning libraries for NLP, NER, LLM, clustering and labeling, and data management techniques.
  • Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication abilities are required to effectively discuss technical concepts with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Learning and Adaptability: A strong desire to learn, experiment with new technologies, and continuously stretch existing skills.
  • Security and Citizenship: Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with User-Centric Products: Demonstrated experience implementing products that enhance user experience, particularly in contexts involving machine learning applications, data visualization, and search optimizations.
  • Cybersecurity Certifications: Possession of certifications in cybersecurity, indicating advanced knowledge and skills in protecting systems and networks.
  • Dashboard Development: Experience in creating interactive dashboards, which may involve data aggregation, visualization, and user interface design, to facilitate efficient data analysis and decision-making.
  • Cloud Development: Experience with porting applications into a cloud environment, like AWS and Azure.
